A Brief History of The Tides

The Tides was created by Chef Leanne Kelleher in April 2000. Over the subsequent years, The Tides has been widely recognized as defining and elevating Treasure Coast Cuisine. The Tides consistently receives the highest acclaim from our customers and local media. Ranked #1 in Fine Dining in the area by Trip Advisor, The Tides has repeatedly earned the Traveler's Choice Award - distinguishing it as among the top 10% of restaurants world-wide.

Chef Leanne Kelleher

Leanne Kelleher has been setting the standard for Fine Dining on the Treasure Coast since April 2000. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America and Florida International University's School of Hospitality, she worked for several fine dining establishments in Coral Gables and Vero Beach before creating The Tides in April 2000. Chef's mission is to provide excellence in both cuisine and service which she achieves that through her highly trained, professional staff. With her distinctively Floridian style, Chef sources only the freshest seafodd, locally grown produce and the finest meats to create masterful presentations of both flavor and form.

Sue Torres has made her mark for gourmet Mexican fare for over twenty years. She was the chef/owner of the critically acclaimed Sueños, the extraordinary New York hideaway serving what food critics called “The most exciting Mexican food in the city.” Over the years, Torres has received notable recognition: Time Out Magazine named her Culinary Ambassador in 2004, and Working Woman Magazine included her in their list of “20 under 30” to watch. Her innovative dishes and cocktails have earned her much praise from The New York Times, Vogue, Food & Wine, and Bon Appétit.

The Tides Menu

Our menu features locally sourced produce and seafood to create a "New American" menu with various nods to the Caribbean and Latin America as well as traditional European. The menu is augmented by creative daily specials and is complemented by our award-winning wine list and specialty cocktails.
